For sale is a Bundy Selmer Baritone Saxophone. I am selling this horn for a friend who generously allowed me to borrow it for the last 8 months or so. The Bari was played by their son but had been sitting around for quite awhile. I already play sax but wanted to try my hand at Bari. When I got the horn I took it in for a tune up and a repair to the octave key, which had been bent, to get it in playing shape. It was about a $200 repair, and the work was done by Just Saxes out of Santa Cruz last fall. The lacquer is in great shape but there are quite a few dents and dings. Most don\'t show up well in the photos, the worst of it is on the bell and the lower bend. My impression is that the horn had not been played very much but what little play the big horn got was by a not so careful kid. Consequently most of the pads are in pristine condition and the afore mentioned lacquer is much better than you would expect for a horn of this age, my guess is it was made in the 70\'s or 80\'s. It would definitely be worth getting the dings removed, which I would have done if I had ended up buying the horn myself. I really enjoyed playing this horn, it has a great tone, but I decided to go with a more modern low A horn. This is a low Bb horn, of course, and it does not have the high F#. I believe the case is original, its pretty well worn but very solid. It could use a little better padding so I will pad it inside and out well for shipping. The handle is solid but a gaffer tape special. The original mouthpiece is also included. Its actually a pretty decent hard rubber mouthpiece, a little discolored from cleaning, seems like a Bundy branded Selmer C but that is just a guess. I will also include the slightly used Neotech harness that I found worked well with this horn but not with my new horn. I\'ll throw it in along with a couple new reeds and you will be in business.
