Theseare hand carved African chess sets, BRAND NEW and freshly made in Dakar, Senegaland will SHIP FROM AFRICA – this item is NOT in the USand DELIVERY TIME WILL BE BETWEEN 2/4 WEEKS.

Thepieces are from about 2\" to 5\" and I have put a standard size magicmarker in the photo for scale. These sets are very nice and the pieces are oneof a kind.

Mostof the \'black\' pieces are actually two color ebony wood and the brown, Africanteak (mahogany). They are hand carved and each piece is unique so no two setsare alike.

I personally take each package tothe post office (here in Senegal it’s called LaPoste) and I weigh it, put on the stamps cancel themand put the package in the shipping box!I’ve been doing this so long they just let me go in the back and handlemy own shipping myself! A photo of ourdinky little post office is above – it doesn’t look like much but they are veryefficient!

Packagesare picked up at 1pm every day to go to the airport and depending on where theyare going, ship out that night. For theUS, EU, Canada & South America they go out the same evening and for theUS/UK/EU the mail is in your country, literally, the next day,

USCustoms as a backlog and it takes about 2 weeks for them to release the mail tothe US Postal Service. I have no controlover this process and your package will be in the hands of the US governmentonce it arrives at JFK in NY.

Fromthere it goes to the USPS regional and then local offices for delivery to you. Asyou can see, USPS International shipping takes more time than nationwideshipping so if you need something in a hurry, don\'t order from us! lol! During the holidays the best I can determineis 3/4 weeks for delivery so if you see something from SenegalStyle that youREALLY WANT… order NOW. If it arrivesearly, WONDERFUL if it takes the full 3/4 weeks then at least you know ahead oftime and won\'t be STRESSED OUT! lol!

The board I can have custommade if you want but to be honest, the quality of the boards aren\'t as nice asthe chess pieces themselves. They are made from wood, covered with leather butthe black squares are colored in with a magic marker... it\'s ok and if you likehandmade/rustic, it\'s fine. If you want a nicer board, contact me and I\'ll haveto design you one.

NOTE: YOUR ITEM will beSHIPPED FROM DAKAR, SENEGAL (in AFRICA) – it is NOT LOCATED IN THE US. There will be a tracking number and we willsend you a photo of the package when it is mailed so you can show/tell yourmail carrier to be on the lookout for it.
