It is curved where you see that it was affixed to the boiler. It measures in at: 11+3/4\" by 7+5/8\" and is about 5/16 to 3/8\" thick. This is an early 4-4-0 D-13aclassificationlocomotive, Pennsylvania Railroad, ALTOONA SHOPS road #693. Anabsolutelyoutstanding 19th century PRR builders plate!
