set of 3 Vintage BSM Winter Scene China Plates - 8\" - one plate has small crack - most visible on underside / almost invisible on the face of the plate & a chip on underside of plate (see pic) / other 2 are in good condition / no other cracks, chips or repairs / gold etching worn due to age mostly on edging on all 3 plates (exact vintage unknown) - unable to find much info on these specific plates except that they are old and were manufactured by Brothers Schwalb from Merkelsgrun,Czechoslovakia. Factory was based in Bohemia Austria and featured the late 1800\'s open fret work with an open lattice border and gold accents,particularlythe leaf pattern. Imported to the USA & Canada1889 - 1895. The factory then becameKarlsbad Kaolin Industry Co. and expanded to producetechnicalas well as household porcelain which merged withZettliz Kaolin Works Department Porcelain Factory Merkelsgrun in 1912 and produced laboratory and industrial porcelain productsDespite the defects noted in VGC for their age and a real find for the collector.Approx. 7 3/4\" diam x 7/8\" high
