Here is a set of TEN Art Nouveau / Arts & Crafts majolica tubelined tiles, each hand made, hand painted and tublined using the exact methods as those used to manufacture over a century ago in Victorian England.
Here, we see a trio of flowers, firmly rooted in the Art Nouveau period of design originally produced by the esteemed Henry Richards, circa 1900. This tile is unique in my inventory as it is the only tile that is both tubelined (with a raised glaze slip accentuating the outlines) AND moulded, in that the actual floral blooms are raised and have a real three-dimensional, bulbous feel to them. It is my opinion that this tile is of a higher quality than any other fireplace tile on the market today and it is guaranteed NOT to be available from any other seller, worldwide! It is a truly beautiful and ultra-classy design, with naturally Art Nouveau themes running through it, from top to bottom. Note that whipping stems in beautiful mint green and the gorgeous symmetry. It\'s vibrant, vivid and delicate at the same time, with a most appealing off-cream background which allows the main colours to really SING! This tile will blend into practically any room setting and will simply bring to life your fireplace, kitchen backsplash or any installation you decide to place them.BEAUTIFUL!
In terms of craftsmanship, its hard to imagine any of the tiles available today coming close to that seen here. They really are THAT GOOD! The lines are crisp and sharp with hand applied tube-lining accentuating the various areas of the tile\'s overall surface.A truly BEAUTIFUL DESIGN!Each tile is lovingly created as a unique work in ceramic artistry, slightly different to each other yet sufficiently uniform so as to be placed in consecutive runs, if the installation requires. Each measures 6x6 inches and a robust 1/3 inch thick.Perfect for renovations in older houses and for installations in newer, contemporary dwellings also. As well as for fireplaces, I have supplied these tiles as porch decor and wall coverings, stair-riser facings, kitchens, showers and even a swimming pool in Beverly Hills, California.The possibilities are endless!
