This set of 4 matching bread plates is from a Providence, RI estate. Based on the family\'s history, I would date these from the early1900s, but you will have to be the judge.
I cleaned these gently, but more polishing may be in order. These collectible plates show what I think is minimal wear from use, with what I would describe as surface scratches.
These plates are classic and lovely in their simplicity with only 2 lines about the outer edge.
On the back of each plate is marked ALVIN STERLING E49.
I got a weight of 2.8 ounces for each plate, or an overall weight of more than 11 ounces.
