Postcards like this just don’t exist anymore. They were published in an era that celebrated patriotism with a lot of red, white and blue! Several of these cardscommemorate holidays that are no longer celebrated, which makes them especially collectible. The Woman’s Relief Card, whichdepicts an organizationfounded in 1883 as an auxiliary to the Grand Army of the Republic, is a good example of a card type that doesn\'t exist today. The Decoration Day cards honor the Civil War deceased soldiers. This holiday was the predecessor to our current Memorial Day holiday. The Army & Navy Card is a signed card from the famous postcard artist Ellen Clapsaddle.

The cards are all from the early 1900’s and are in decent shape. The Woman’s Relief card has a fold in the lower-left corner. All the cards are embossed.
