This is the Seth Thomas Helmsman Ship\'s Bell Clock and Barometer Combination mounted on a solid mahogany base and solid brass plate. My research indicates it is listed on page 765 of the Tran Duy Ly book, 3rd edition - volume 2. The ship\'s bell clock is model number E537-001 and the barometer is model number E537-011. The base is model number E537-005. This is a well cared for Helmsman set. I very recently had a master clock repair shop inspect the clock and clean and oil the mechanism. It works perfectly. The $225.00 receipt for this service goes with this Helmsman. The shop stated that the brass was in far above average condition for a clock of this vintage. If the brass were polished it would appear almost as new.
The winding key and original mounting hardware go with the unit. They are shown in the pictures.
