This is a large and vibrant set of hand-made, paper mache rattle maracas from Mexico. It is a group of classic images and icons of Mexican art -- Frida, chicken, deer, jaguar, mariposa/butterfly, tropical fish and sun. There is lots of detail and much work goes into producing just one. They rattle with seeds inside.
They measure on average 5 x 4 x 2\" with a 12\" handle.
