Shackman Mouse Wind Up Mechanical Tintoy Japan Vintage 1950s Works Nicely:

This is a Japanese tintoy steel windup mouse. This toy is probably 1950’s, but I don’t have an exact date. It was made in Japan, but also has Copyright of Shackman, New York on it with the phrase, “Works best when aimed directly toward edge rather than sideway approach.” It is an orange tan color mouse with some scratches. Please see photos to determine the condition of this collectible. Seams look nice, not perfect. There is some wavy ripples on the back sides. I think this is meant to be, but I am putting this information out there in case it wasn’t supposed to be this way. The key is permanently attached. Windup works very nicely. One wheel is attached to the mechanism and the other follows along. It measures about 3 1/2” long. Very cute little piece for any vintage tintoy collector.
