These Sheers are from estate sale—theremay be imperfections

and cleaning or repair maybe required (I know they aren\'t sharp).

From experience of using this type of sheep shear, I can say that they normally came from \"factory\" dull and user was expected to sharpen before use and generally after every 2 - 3 sheep were sheared with a pocket whetstone. These sheers have been sharpened many times and that is why the \"points\" are rounded. This set has been secured with a couple of twists of bailing twine as a safety precaution when moving about. They generally only lasted a year or two due to the many sharpenings of \"soft\" steel.
