MID CENTURY MODERNIST
A super elegant silver wine, champagne or ice bucket by Walker and Hall of Sheffield. The piece is raised on a neat foot and decorated with beaded borders to both foot and rim. It is offered with its original detachable silver plated drainer. To each side a large ring handle is housed in a lion mask mount. The features of the lion are somewhat more angular than the traditional form they echo, insinuating the modernist influence to the design.
Estimated to have been made mid last century it is in very good and gleaming condition without structural fault and, being particularly pedantic here, with just a few dust sized dots to the inner beneath the drainer and a light mark where each of the two ring handles touches the body of the piece.
