What an amazing doll! Very low number made of this style. Only 500! That is considered a very low number in the world of doll collecting. Handmade in Germany by U Kase Lepp, doll artist. She is made of a lifelike vinyl. Beautifully hand painted. Her eyes are hand painted, not something you see that often. REAL HUMAN HAIR. REAL LEATHER SHOES. Everything about this little girl is very high end. Her clothing consists of a beautiful white cotton dress. The dress has a SIGIKID label sewn on the outside. There is a light blue ribbon sash around her waist, tied in a bow in back. A small white with light blue trim rose is at her neck. Underneath the dress she wears a separate cotton half slip and cotton pantaloons (bloomers) that come down over her knees. The darling little shoes are real, white leather with ribbon ties and leather soles. She is wearing a delicate pearl look necklace. Her eyes are hand painted a beautiful green and they look so real it seems she is looking at you. There is even a twinkle in her eye! Feathered eyebrows, eyelashes. Pale pink lips that are lightly parted, no teeth. Her nostrils are open.I measure her at 26\", back of heel to top back of her head. Her head turns., her arms and legs are movable. She has a stuffed cloth body. A Sigikid label is sewn to her side. She features a full vinyl breast plate. 3/4 limbs. Realistic looking hands/fingers. Hand knotted, REAL HUMAN HAIR. Her hair has soft curl, looks like a style that has been crimped. You can see her cloth \"scalp\" where very small amounts of hair have been painstakingly applied, piece by piece! This is amazing for a doll. It is all this attention to details that Marie Luise a very special doll. These dolls sell for over $1,000, some well over that, due their unique qualities and superb workmanship. This is an heirloom doll to pass down to others.Doll has never been played with and handled only briefly. She has been stored carefully. I don\'t have her box. I see no damage of any kind. No bad odors (non smoking home). No soil on clothing. In the photos of her shoes, the bottoms have some darker spots, that is just the real leather variation, same as real shoes. As mentioned earlier, she has been stored laying flat. This has given her hair the \"bed head\" look that human hair gets. I\'m sure this will fluff back up or you can carefully brush it (using only the proper type of brush that would be used on a human hair wig). These special dolls are usually more of a collector\'s item than a toy due to the effort to hand create her and therefore the cost involved to own a doll such as this. There is no reason that she could not be enjoyed by a child though. I ship quickly and pack carefully. Most items will ship same day if payment posts in time (usually before 1 pm EST). I try to use USPS Priority mail, 2-3 day shipping when practical and cost efficient. I also use calculated shipping method which bases the shipping cost/time on your zip code. I charge whatever the shipping calculator comes up with, I don\'t make money on shipping. I will use the smallest box that is practical and safe for the item to try and keep shipping costs to a minimum. Sometimes an item\'s shape, size or weight makes this difficult, I do the best I can.
With larger items that I don\'t feel I can pack properly on my own, I offer pick up or you arrange your own shipping through a service such as my local US Store in the Columbus, OH area. They do a great job of packing and getting it shipped. I will take the item to them for a quote when you purchase or I can give you the dimensions and you can call them for a quote. I understand this is a bit different, but the best way to get an unusual item to you safely.
For all purchases, Ohio residents pay Ohio state sales tax of 7.5% on item and shipping. Have to pay the state!
