Coast Artillery - Restored working Condition
The phone has been restored and is in working condition.
The phone rings and you can answer calls. Everything
works smoothly. It has original paint and data tags. Even the
crank handle is correct as it has a GC-11 number on it.
These phones are hard to find as not many were made
and mostwere recycled for their metal. The earlier ones
like this were made out of brass.
There is a magneto inside of the phone. Below is a
picture of the same magneto that sells for 59.99 on .
The EE-91 is a wallmounted metal telephone used by
the coast artillery and coastal defensebatteries. It is
equipped with a single gong ringer, a hand generator
forsignaling magneto lines and an anti-sidetone circuit.
It has been fitted with a modern line cord sothat it will
plug into today’s modern land lines.
