the famous pilot who flew the B 29 enola gay , B29 that dropped the first atomic bomb \" little boy \" over hiroshima Japan - on aug 6 ,1945

and Fred Olivi , co pilot on board bockscar, the B 29 that drooped the second atomic bomb , fat man , over nagasaki , aug. 9 , 1945

the plane model was a limited edition ( number 281 of ONLY 3000 made )

( and possibility the only one signed by TIBBETS )

This is a model of \" the red gremlin \" tibbets B17 , the first plane , he and his crew flew in combat in North Africa and over Europe.

( later ,...the same crew - TIBBETS , Dutch van Kirk , & tom ferebee flew the B29 Enola gay , that delivered the atomic bomb to Japan )

This was a limited edition made by the Danbury mint - now long \' out of production \'

TIBBETS signed the base of the display stand for the owner of this rare model at the military show \" the show of shows \" in Kentucky 12 years ago
