Here is a wonderful set of four tea cups. They are made of thick earthenware, heavily glazed over
Hand painted with stylized blooming plum branches
Japanese in origin from the 1600-1700\'s
Each cup is signed with characters on the side, as pictured. The signature stands for Ogata Kenzan (1663-1743), one of the most prominent Japanese potters from the period
A beautiful, IMPORTANT and early set indeed!!!
Measurements: Each one is approx. 2.75\" top diameter; 1.5\" deep
Condition: Very Good overall; Please, see photos below! Some minor glaze crazing from the age
