Peter Brabrook(8 November 1937 – 10 December 2016) was an Englishfootballerwho made nearly 500 appearances inthe Football Leagueplaying forChelsea,West Ham UnitedandOrient, and wascappedthree times for theEngland national team. He played as awinger.

Brabrook was born inGreenwich, London,and started his career atFord United. He then moved on toChelsea, making his debut during the1954–55season, during which the club won theleague championship, though he only made three appearances.He established himself in the Chelsea first-team in the following years, making 271 appearances and scoring 57 goals in all competitions.Soon afterTommy Dochertytook over as manager, Brabrook signed forWest Ham Unitedin 1962 for £35,000.

Alongside players such asBobby Moore,Martin PetersandGeoff Hurst, Brabrook won theFA Cupand theCup Winners\' Cupwith the club in consecutive seasons.He retired from playing after a stint withOrientandnon-LeagueRomford,and later returned to West Ham to take a role at theiracademy, helping to develop players such asFrank Lampard,Joe ColeandMichael Carrick.

He wascappedthree times forEngland, including a game against theUSSRat the1958 World Cup.

Brabrook died on 10 December 2016, aged 79.
