This Sikes hydrometer has an inlaid plaque on the outside of its box, stating Sikes\' Hydrometer, Westminster City Council, C. Beard & Son, WC1. The wooden box is in good condition. The inner satin padding has no tears. The glass jug has no cracks. All the weights are present.I have dated the set from the spirit tables that accompany it; these are dated 1945, but are stamped as received by Westminster\'s public health dept in 1950. This book is complete, but yellowing and with very loose binding (see photos).
