Background: I acquired these photos in the mid-1970\'s when I was ordered by my boss to clean out an old building he was going to use for storage. I found an old scrapbook with these and other photos in it. I recognized an old guy from around town, and asked him about it. He said I could have these pictures if I would just give him the ones of his family. (They were from when they lived in a tent village during the depression) So I cut these pages out of the book and gave it to him. I will describe them to the best of my ability, as I have done some homework on them.
Up For Sale: 1 Photo of George Peacock and Friend Drinking Whiskey in Africa I am guessing it is Peacock, as it is Signed by him on the back.
I consulted an expert, and he believes it is a silver gelatin print from the late 1800\'s to early 1900\'s.
I never try to clean upor repair any of my \"finds\". This one has obviously been folded in 4ths-kept in a wallet? It fell out of the book I acquired of
African photos...perhaps a gift to the 2 men who took the others. See additional listings !
