A Good Georgian Sterling Silver Fine Dining Sauce or Gravy Jug. Made in London, in 1822, by Joseph Biggs. Very GoodQuality Jug of Oval Bellied Form with a Scroll Handle, all Raised upon Four Ball Feet. With great deal of charm and interest. Charming Decoration on the handle of good quality of stylised acanthus leaves, roses, grapes and thistles, with an entwined serpent, this with some political significance to the coming reform act this in a rococo style and with bizarre quality. Script initials to the front \'L\'. The body further decorated with a band of pin prick engraving thistle, rose and acorn with a plain band of decoration beneath. Heavy gadrooned border on the upper. The whole in a good weight of silver. This jug of great interest good enough for the best dining tables or the best collections.
