Here is a lot of 12 Moselle teaspoons & very unusual, the original box they came in! Playing history detective, a theory would be that Great Gram kept these as extra dessert spoons for the holidays.
All 12 have light heel marks on the back in varying sizes from a tiny dot up to about 1/4 inch wide.
But with 10 of them, the Bowls are wonderful, very shiny, great smooth finish.
On the 11th spoon, a bit of a bigger scratch in the bowl. On the 12th , a dot of silver loss in the bowl.All 12 have really nice tips, still have a point, no rounding or wear seen.None of the 12 have been polished & they will need it.
The box is rough as you would expect a 100 + yr utilitarian piece of cardboard to be, but is interesting because it has what looks to be its original pink cotton padding inside along with an insert in the bottom, printed on both sides, all about Moselle & the A.S. Co. I forgot to take a picture of the insert, so that can be a surprise for the buyer!If this is your pattern, extra spoons, always good!Questions welcome.
