This is an exceptionally beautiful Simon Halbig 1159. There is a red 16 painted on her forehead. This designates her as an excellent casting of the head and that her make up should be up to Jumeau standards. She is not marked Jumeau, but the red 16 suggests she was a special issue. Her head is perfect, no hairlines, cracks or neck chips. She is about 19 inchs high and her neck is impressed with a 7. She has the lady body which appears to have its original finish. The bottom is finished as most Herman Handwerk dolls are, with a flat edge. I believe she has had her little finger on her left hand repaired and repairs to two fingers or more on her right. The repair is not perfect, but the paint has been matched closely to the original body. Her dress appears to be a vintage commercial outfit. The blue velvet is backed with stiff material. She has a very stiff petticoat and a lovely pair of fine cottom pantaloons trimmed with beautiful antique lace. Her wig is synthetic. I do not accept returns.
