Direct from an estate clearance this week is this Singer 222k free-arm featherweight sewing machine, ABSOLUTELY IMMACULATE with no paint chips,no wear to the decals, looking like it has just come fresh from the factory. Everything, including all paint work is totally original. It really is MUSEUM STANDARD. I have sold lots of these machines over the years but this is the best I have ever had. Apparently the lady who owned it bought it from new, and had a number of machines and this one, although regularly serviced, was very seldom used and kept for best. In beautiful fully working condition including the light. An absolutely beautiful machine that you will simply NOT improve upon. Any lines or spots in any of the scans are simply light reflections from the paint work and NOT flaws. Apart from routine servicing over the years there has been no alteration or modifications. It has its original carry case with keys and fully operational locks, original booklet, Singer black metal box with FULL set of tools, foot pedal, original mat etc. The serial number stamped underneath is EL185511 which according to the Singer website dates it 1956 which exactly coincides to when the elderly lady first purchased it. The machine is a UK model and runs on 240 volts so will require a mains transformer to run on other voltages, these will be readily available in most countries but please satisfy yourself as to its suitability in your specific country.
