You\'re offerding on a Singer \"Featherweight\" model 221 portable sewing machine - Serial Number AH336533 - a circa October 1947 made in America example of this classic model - known for it\'s light weight, compact size without the sacrifice of the power and durability the Singer brand is known for. This is the black model with the lustrous finish and gilded decal branding and Victorian-style edge design.
Note some issues of condition - the finish along the bottom edge on one side and the edge design exhibit some scrape and wear - probably from someone doing a lot of sewing from that side - and some other, more general scratch, including a couple of scratches to the chromed plate on the front of the machine - more of a workhorse machine than a showpiece, perhaps, but machine appears to be working perfectly, and it\'s complete including a small box of extra bobbins.The cord has a few poor tape repairs - they appear to be covering fray spots, though, not splices. Complete with case, although note that the latches are broken and non-functional (see photo).
