Small Wooden Kokeshi-Type Figure / Japanese / Vintage:

This Japanese wooden figure is probably 40 or so years old. The handwriting on the base is illegible to us, but it probably is the maker\'s name. The writing on the body says \"Sarugakyo\", the name of a hot spring in Gunma Prefecture.

There is general wear and dustiness, with some smudges and age-spots, but there is no significant structural damage. It seems to be intentionally made to lean as shown in the sample photos.
