this is a scarce 1920s Black Americana item with its ultra rare ORIGINAL box. Tin platform mechanical toy made by Nifty.

Toy itself is in the very good to fine range with overall wear. Note--the figures appear possibly to have some light paint touch up. See detailed photos and decide for yourself. Particularly the kid\'s hands seem \"iffy\".

The box is original and in bad shape but it displays decently. It has had extensive interior support added (non acidicboard) to secure the numerous tears and splits in the box. It also has some faint stains from clear tape removal plus sone dark stains to one end, possibly oil stains from the toy. The paper quality of the box is very fragile. Amazingly the box is complete aside from 1 missing interior flap. Most flaps have bee reattached with archival tape. Technical condition on this box is poor to fair or about 4 or 5 out of 10. However as the photos show, it does display respectably. A good part of the price is due to the ultra rare original box.
