This solid bronze sculpture is entitled \"Southwest Vogue\" by Robert Shorty.It is 24\" tall, 7\" long and 4\" wide. It is signed and numbered, 9/25, and weighs almost 15 pounds. It is marked \"Santa Fe Bronze\". It was purchased in 1994 for $2400 at the Red Rain Gallery in Taos NM. Iwill send the original receipt as shown in the pictures.
Robert Shorty was born in Fort Defiance, Arizona, in 1944. He has been involved with both the performing and the visual arts. He is an actor, dancer, writer and sculptor. He studied at theInstitute of American Indian Art in Sante Fe, at Bacon JuniorCollege in Muskogee, Oklahoma, had a scholarship in modern dance at the Connecticut School of Dance and at the Mary Antony Dance Studio in New York City. His is an original member of the American Indian Theatre Ensemble, La Mama Experimental Theater Club, in New YorkCity, and has appeared in dancing and acting roles across the country.
