Condition: Good Vintage Condition! Mild cosmetic wear, as expected with age, such as normal shelf wear on bottom, some small/light surface marks, very mild residue from cleaning, a small flea bit (see photo) does not distract from display quality.


Vicke Lindstrand was a Swedish glass, textile and ceramic designer. He is considered a pioneer of Swedish glass art. In 1950 he joined Kosta Glasbruk as an artistic director before his retirement in 1973. He created many of the now classic and beloved Kosta designs.

Vicke Lindstrands work of this nature and quality are becoming highly sought after and extremely collectable.


SOMMERSO:
This technique (meaning \"submerged\") involves dipping a thick glass object back into the melting pot to coat it with an equally thick layer of glass of a different color. The overlapping colors create a peculiar chromatic effect in the solid glass.
