We\'ve created the look of silver with stainless steel and plastic, so the carafe never needs polishing and the handle stays cool to the touch.\" I would add that also makes it lighter and easier to handle / pour. I bought this to show at parties when I was a SLAH consultant. I used it only once - to test it out and see if it really kept coffee warm for eight hours - it did! This is a beautiful piece that can grace your table every day, or save it for special dinners (Easter, Mother\'s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.). Great condition. Measures 6 1/4\" by 8\" by 14\" tall; holds four cups.
