Thisis GUARANTEED 100% ORIGINAL Soviet military cap from the USSR era, not a recentreplica.

This hat was reportedly firstused by the Soviet advisors in Syria, hence its unofficial nickname. A verysturdy construction in rugged light olive drab cotton. The hat has sharplydownward pointing visor and an extensive fold-down face and neck flap toprotect against blowing sand, connected to the upper portion of the hat bygreen buttons.

The liner shows stamp of thegarment factory in the city of Gukovo with the 1984 date of manufacture and thesize 55 (Small, corresponds with approximately US size 7).

This hat is NEW OLD STOCK,never used Soviet military surplus in MINT condition. Beautifully preservedafter nearly 30 years in a military warehouse - shows no soiling, tears orother condition issues (there is a bit of discoloration to the sweat band but this is not a result of wear), absolutely free of any mildew problems.
