Up for sale is apre-Spanish American WarUSM1892 Krag Rifle Bayonet &2nd Pattern Scabbard. The bayonet has a bright finish blade. Minor discoloration of the blade. No nicks or chips in the blade.Some minor surfacepitting.Some evidence ofsharpening. The wooden handles are in good condition. The locking mechanism works fine. The blade is marked US on one side. The dated is no longer legible. This bayonet has the 2ndpattern scabbard.Finish is wearing thin on the scabbard. One dent at the bottom of the scabbard. It does not affect the fit to the blade. This scabbard hastheKrag-style belt hook with the wire closure. This is the more common style scabbard. The bayonet is used, please see photo\'s for condition.
