"SpanishMackerel Weathervane"--Fish make wonderful weathervane subjects because they knife through the wind exactly like they do through water. This is an original copper weathervane, created byusing Earth elements, sculpting and Old Worldmetalsmithing techniques. The process is done entirelyfree-hand, without the use of moulds, stamps, ormachines. Each vane I create is an original workof art--no two are ever exactly alike. The mackerel isexquisitely detailed and has a beautifulnatural patina. If you are familiar with the metallurgical properties of copper you can appreciate how it weathers and continually beautifies with age. Measures approximately 27 inches in length.
