Springfield 45-70 Trapdoor Walnut Rifle Stock:
$243

This sale is for one used Walnut Springfield 45-70 Rifle stock. The pictures show the extent of the wear on this stock. The stock has apparently been sanded. The cartouche on the wood is faint, but the initials of the inspector are faintly visible. I cannot make out the date because of the grain pattern of the wood. There is a faint proof "P" and "GB' This is the original 1873 stock to the barrel that I have listed as a separate sale, with a serial number 354****, to hopefully give you some idea of it's age. Included with the stock is the trigger guard and trigger, It has a serated surface trigger, and the barrel band springs, and cleaning rod keeper, and stock tip. See pictures for assessing the condition of the bluing on the metal parts. Has minor seasonal cracks at lock plate inletting. This stock is otherwise sound, and was removed from a functioning rifle undergoing restoration. Absolutely no international sales
