A beautiful good sized Ceylon (Sri Lanka) solid silver desk clip. It is unmarked but tests as high grade silver. It dates to c1900. It has been superbly designed being intricately decorated with scrolls and flowers. It is in super condition being free from dings splitsholes and repairs. The string is strong and works perfectly. Itmeasures over 4 inches (10.4cms) tall by over 2.25 inches (6.1cms) wide and opens to a width of over 1 inch (2cms) and weighs a respectable 90 grams. A beautiful made very high quality piece.
