A perfect historical gift for the 1st Communion, Confirmation or RCIA graduate. Also, makes a beautiful gift just for yourself!This pendant/pocket rosary is very beautiful! The front size depicts St. Benedict himself, and the words, Ave Maria. Each circular notch is marked with a letter of Ave Maria with 2 small Latin crosses in between each word. The reverse side is the Latin cross with the lettered icons associated with St. Benedict. Again, each circular notch is marked with a letter of Ave Maria with 2 small Latin crosses in between each word. This unique pendant rosary is new, but from old stock. It was recently acquired from an old retired Catholic store. It is not shiny, it has a dull finish, but has a unique darkened patina to it, so it looks vintage & antique. We were told that it was made in Italy, although there is no stamping on it. It is a little on the heavier side, so we believe it has a metal alloy base and has a silver oxidized plating (from the darkened patina). It will come with a heavy duty silver toned jump ring; all you have to do is hang it on your silver necklace...hangs nicely on the velvet style too...will hang nicely in your car. Overall measurements are: 1 1/4\" wide by 1 1/2\" tall. Rosary will come in a velveteen gift bag...perfect for gift giving!
