This is an extremely rare version of the Order of St. George. This green and gold medal features the iconic scene of St. George Slaying the Dragon. The exact origin of the medal is unknown, but is believed to be part of a variant of the Order of St. George. The Order started in Russia and has branched from there to various used around Europe and the globe.

The medal shows some tarnish build up on the back of it, so please look at the photos closely for details. It measures 1.875” W x 2.125” H (48mm x 54mm).

This Is from the estate of the Grand Chancellor His Excellency Lorenzo Michel De Valitch Titular Archbishop of Ephesus.
