A Rare English Staffordshire Pearlware Herculaneum Dark Blue Transferware Dinner Plate circa 1815

9 1/2\" in diameter
A lobed rim dinner size plate printed in a lovely shade of dark blue with an intricate scenes of Greek figures with a border of greek keys and other design elements. This pattern is attributed to the Herculaneum pottery although a marked piece has never been found. The border is painted an ochre/ brown enamel.

In excellent condition without any real damage I can see or feel; there is some very light crazing seen mostly on the back. There are light scratch and use marks across the face, seen mostly when tilted in the light, looks lovely on display.
