Steam Locomotive \"B&O\" (Baltimore and Ohio) Authentic Brass Railroad Bell:
$1200.00

This brass bell (80#) is from a Baltimore and Ohio (B&O) steam locomotive. My dad tells me this was mounted and used on a train that traveled daily between New York City and Washington D.C. He bought this off of a man from Pittsburgh that worked for B&O railroad about 30 years ago. Written on the air operated ringer is \"Patented June 17, 1924\". The diameter of the bell opening is 14 1/2\". My dad also said it was made with copper and silver. He also said the original color was royal blue. He had it mounted on a brick and mortar base in the front of his house for many years. My mother called us in to dinner with it. As you can see it has the original air operated clapper, harp and base which comes with it. Unfortunately, my dad has no way of moving the 150+ pound bell so the buyer must pick it up or shipping arrangements would have to be made by the buyer. The Bell is located in Greensville, PA near Pymatuning Lake. Please feel free to e-mail any questions!
