This wonderful edition created and designed by Steiff of \'Teddy\' Roosevelt on his horse Little Texas, in the famous pose of the pair. He is dressed in the uniform of the first U.S. volunteer cavalry regiment, the Rough Riders. On June 8th, 1958 in Giengen, Germany, an almost life size figure of Roosevelt with his horse was included in one of the many procession cars, to commemorate his 100th birthday. This superb white tagged piece features an alpaca fully jointed teddy on a hand painted mohair horse, and mounted on an oval wooden base. He is number 511 of 1858 limited pieces worldwide, and comes to you in MINT CONDITION along with his certificate papers and box. The detailing is superb, even down to the leather that makes up the horse\'s reins, saddle and hoofs.The expression is sublime, the craftsmen-ship is, Steiff and outstanding.... Truly one exceptional bear.
