Main DescriptionThis exceptional vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver six piece condiment set consists of two salts, two pepper pots and two mustard pots.
The pieces of this fine condiment set have a plain baluster waisted form onto a plain spreading foot.
The surface of each piece is unembellished with plain moulded border to the flared cut cornered upper rim.
The mustard pots are fitted with C scroll sterling silver handles ornamented to the upper portion with a layered chevron design.
Each mustard pot has a hinged hallmarked plain domed cover.
The pepper pots are fitted with push fit hallmarked covers with pierced \'pepper\' holes.
The covers to each of the mustard pots and pepper pots are surmounted by a sterling silver cylindrical urn style finial.
Each salt and mustard pot is fitted with the original, removable blue glass liner.
The set is presented with the original fully hallmarked pairs of salt and mustard spoons.
This vintage condiment set is fitted to the original hinged leatherette box with satin and velvet lined interior and secures with two hinged catches.
Condition
The pieces of this vintage condiment set are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.
The original box is also in excellent presentation condition; only one of the salt spoons has an elasticated restraint, the other spoon rests in situ.
Full hallmarks struck to the underside of each piece, and the reverse of each spoon, and part hallmarks to the covers of the pepper pots and mustard pots are all very clear.
