This is a beautiful vintage sterling silver locket that is missing half of its chain. Solid sterling locket measures 7/8 inch wide and tall and closes tightly and stays shut. Holds two photos. Hangs on an 8 inch sterling silver snake chain with a 3 inch chain extension. Hallmark locket: 925 Hallmark Chain 925 Italy note~ I found the other piece of chain that goes with this, if you purchase and would like to repair it, I will include it. Length of necklace after repair: 17\" extends to 20\"If you intend to wear it as a necklace, The chain would need to be soldered back onto the heart. If you have another use for it, like maybe a watch chain, a keychain, a keepsake photo locket that you dont intend to wear, etc etc, no, then you wouldn\'t even need the other piece of chain. The entire thing is solid sterling silver, the photo locket and both pieces of chain. It has a good clasp.
