The beauty of classic tradition is captured in this Grecian motif pattern. The delicate scrolled relief border gracefully encloses a detailed Grecian urn with intricate symmetrical enhancement. There is a \"W\" (\"M\"?) monogram on the inside in the Art Deco style. (photo #3 & 4) To get a \'balanced\' ring with all hallmarks intact (photo #5) in smaller ring sizes this ring was made from a demitasse spoon.

Brief History of the International Silver Company

The International Silver Company was incorporated in 1898 by a number of independent New England Silversmiths whose family backgrounds began with the earliest American settlers. International became not only renown for the quality of its fine silver, it became the world\'s largest manufacturer of silverware.

Many arrests were made from the 17th to the 19th century with offenses ranging from “stealing a silver spoon” to “larceny by a servant.” Criminal records allowed historians to determine when spoon rings began.By the 19th century Spoon Ring popularity waned but then it took off again during the 60\'s and 70\'s. This time though it was as much about fashion as it was about love. It still works both ways though and when you combine the two...
