The Tiffany \"Japanese\" pattern (Circa: 1871 - 1935) was a multi-motif \'bird in bush\' series Tiffany introduced in 1871. Its distinctive Japanese style is still popular today and sold (with minor modification) as the \"Audubon\" collection. (see photo #11 for differences) The ring has a light gold highlighting on the flower petals and grass shoots. On the inside is the small case \'m\' date letter (indicates spoon was made sometime between 1907 and 1935), \'TIFFANY & Co.\' \'STERLING\' \'PAT. 1871\' and a \"HI\" monogram. (see photos)

The name was shortened to Tiffany & Co. in 1853 when Charles Tiffany took control, and the firm\'s emphasis on jewelry was established.

Many arrests were made from the 17th to the 19th century with offenses ranging from “stealing a silver spoon” to “larceny by a servant.” Criminal records allowed historians to determine when spoon rings began.By the 19th century Spoon Ring popularity waned but then it took off again during the 60\'s and 70\'s.
