History of the Company:

In 1886, the firm Stern Brothers was established in Philadelphia making Thimbles. Within a few years it expanded and relocated to NYC and entered into the Diamond Jewelery Business. From 1890, Stern Brothers used the \"Fouled Anchor\" (an anchor entwined with rope) that you see to the right in my photos, as their trademark. From the period 1908-1912, the company sometimes used an \"S\" as its trademark with a \"B\" in the upper curve and a \"C\" in the lower curve of the \"S\". From 1913, the company used a squared \"G\" with an \"S\" and a \"C\" inside after August Goldsmith became a partner. The company shut down following the stock market crash of 1929.

Condition is very good as shown in Photos, there is a slight very small indentation that I pointed out in one of the photos.

The Makers Mark and Sterling Marks are shown in my pictures.

Please look at the pictures carefully as they are a large part of my description.

Thanks for looking!

Please email me with any questions.

Please remember to scroll down to the end of the listing, as there are times I receive questions and they will be answered there. Or there may be a offer on the item, so I have added an addendum to the description for something that I may have forgotten.

Please keep in mind that I\'m not selling new items. They usually are antique or vintage, can be a hundred or more years old and have been gently used. Edge wear on gold and silver is to be considered as normal and the usual. Also, please remember that old glass and porcelain were not manufactured with the sophisticated technology that we have today, therefore there may be glaze pops, black pin dots, and minor factory flaws, and will be pointed out either in photo or print.
Approximate sizes are always included in the description. Please examine the photos carefully; as they are to be considered part of the description, and read the description and ask all questions before offerding. Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer\'s responsibility. Please check with your country\'s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to offerding/buying.See my other listings for more great items!

Payment is due within 2 days of sale close.

I will ship out the following day after payment is made.
