This abstract oil painting was painted by mouth by artist Steven L. Sles and is entitled on the back Sunset of Our Love.The painting portrays a couple in the lower lefthand part of the painting walking into a forest.The dimensions of the framed piece is18.25\" long x 14\" high x .5\" thick.The painting is not signed on the front. The artist\'s name and addressis on the back of the painting - written in red pen and also in pencil. This painting is one of his earlier works.
About the artist:Steven L. Sles (1940-2008) was a New Jersey-born contemporary artist, composer and musician.He was born with cerebral palsy, and was a scholar of Hans Hofmann,founder of Abstract Expressionism.Sles was an established and prolific mouth paintermost recognized for his variations of techniques, and fiery abstract palette.His art has been displayed in public and private collections in nearly 50 countries, including a permanent collection at Buckingham Palace. Sles was included in 18 American and International \"Who\'s Who\" editions, and was a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in London.
Condition of Painting:The painting is in very good condition. The wooden frame shows some wear aroundthe edges and on the corners. There is a small area on the frame on the innercorners where it is discolored and this appears to be from small spots of paint.On the back of the painting, the brown paper is torn in spots.There is writing in pen and pencil on the back also.
