Vogue made very few strung Ginny boy dolls and very limited outfits they sold for them separately. We are offering a factory dressed Ginny boy doll from 1952. Ginny is the very hard-to-find FISHERMAN from the Sport Series of Vogue Dolls that comes to you with the very rare to find fishing pole & elusive original fish; which is what makes him more rare and desirable. Ginny has sleep eyes that do need assistance to open and close which is acceptable to most collectors, and quite common. They are a very pretty dark brown. He is marked Vogue Doll on his back, all hard plastic & jointed at neck, arms and legs. He comes wearing his all original outfit, rare fishing pole (original Vogue item, not a replacement) and his so rare original fish! Outfit is not tagged and this is quite common with the early Vogue Ginny outfits. We guarantee that there are no repro or replacements; all vintage factory Vogue. This is one of our favorite dolls from our collection. We always loved the sport series and especially ones with the accessory pieces. We would often buy the same doll but with different hair color or subtle variations that Vogue would offer in the materials; variations in color, plaids and even materials like cotton or flannel. The fisherman had the sleeveless attached top to the jeans unlike the one that they made for the square dancer which had sleeve and a pocket; fisherman does not have a pocket in the back. This cutie is complete & all original. A darling doll that you don\'t often see in this condition. If you love this era & series then we guarantee you will adore him.Add\'l details: Ginny is a strung 8\" hard plastic doll, marked \"A Vogue Doll\" on back. He has beautiful coloring with no touchups! Nice visible light tosca lashes/brows, (we tried to capture them in the photos) nice pink cheek coloring and a beautiful blonde with a full head of hair. He has beautiful brown eyes. He appears to still retain the original rubber band stringing which still seems to be holding fine. We are happy to supply a length of cording and instructions on how to restring just in case if requested. This adorable fisherman comes to you wearing his original one piece denim look jeans and flannel plaid attached top overalls in great condition (no repairs & never washed or cleaned and we don\'t think it needs it) untagged, yellow slicker with front hooks still intact and not torn (different from the rain slicker that had a zipper in 1953) great condition as well. Often you see the hooks re-sewn or torn, not here! His slicker is still fairly flexible/pliable too and not cracked, or torn. His original black fisherman hat (Vogue used this also for the rain slicker in 1953) is in great condition with original chin strap that is in good shape and still has stretch/bounce to it. Black original fuzzy boots/shoes are included but he came to us with the black center snap shoes too. He/she wouldn\'t be complete if it weren\'t for his fishing pole which is excellent with no breaks; works to move the line up and down and has the original hook and line. Oh, look what he has caught!, an original Vogue factory fish; a rarity often lost! This is the fish they used with the fisherman & usually is long gone. The original pole is also very hard to find as they were often lost or broken by their little owners and it still works, line intact. These accessories are considered rare by most collectors. He has a lot going for him; great hair in the original factory set even after a day of fishing. Beautiful brown eyes, high coloring with no obvious issues and a fantastic original Vogue fisherman complete outfit that he wears plus his pole & fish. We think most collectors would be very pleased to add him to their collection. He could be considered a girl fisherman as in the 1950\'s many little girls had the short cut or cropped or bobbed hair style. Just a real cutie! with the best hair and coloring & fantastic outfit.
