Time for me to move outthis one piece from my Stuart Abelman collection. This one is a duplicate ofone I have, bought for friends’ someday wedding, which, ah well, just neverhappened. Here is a massive Abelman hand blown cased glass floral vase inpansies, iris (I think), leaves and a butterfly. Weighing in at a massive 14.5pounds, standing 11” tall, 3 3/8” neck and 6” at the shoulder. Glass looks likeit was blown yesterday, with abosultely no mark on it. The cased glass for the floral work is very thick, giving great 3-D depth to the flowers. Signed on the bottomAbelman 2002, and I’ve had it tucked away in a box since then.Last 2 pictures in the listing are to give you an idea of just a portion of myAbelman collection. You can see the near-duplicate of this vase in the center of the last photo with a yellow butterfly. The largest of the Abelman vases ever made is the black one in the rear, weighing 20 pounds (sorry, not for sale !!). Stuart Abelman’s artwork is just fabulous to live with. Time for someone toenjoy this vase.

If you know Stuart Abelman\'s work, or anything about glassblowing, you know how few vases of this size he\'s done. The effort to hold 14+ pounds on the end of the rod while being blown is enormous, let alone getting it right, with the multiple layers involved in this creation.
