This is a Stuart Turner D10 plant. I do not know when this exact engine was built. This is a BEAUTIFUL and great running example of this model. As you can see it is loaded with all the bells and whistles. The burner is a propane burner with regulators that allows you to control the flame and is easily hooked up to a 5gal tank. I fired up the vintage Stuart boiler and tested it for leaks or any problems before \"restoration\" as well as the D10. After that the D10 has only been oiled and ran on air so that the internals don\'t rust. The boiler has a super heater that works well. The water tank supplies water to the feed pump that the D10 drives which in turn is pumped into the boiler to keep it from running dry. Whoever machined this engine took a great deal of pride in doing so not to mention was a great machinist. It runs very well in both directions which is hard to find and is capable of running quite slowly as you can see on YouTube. The exhaust goes through a chambered muffler with packing that separates the oil and water from the clean steam air. It is currently set up as a display piece and the plumbing and fittings have not had thread sealer applied nor have they been checked for leaks.
