This is a fixed price sale for a really stunning 1875 Woodburytype of the Court of the Lions located in the interior of the Alhambra of Granada, Spain. The Alhambra was a large fort and palace complex constructed by the Moors during their occupation of Spain. The Court of the Lions was constructed between 1362 and 1391 AD and remains to this day as one of the \"must see\" sights when visiting Spain. This photograph was taken by Stuart of Great Britain and was published in 1875 as a Woodburytype in Treasure Spots of the World, edited by Walter B. Woodburytype, inventor of the process which bears his name. Woodburytypes are known for their characteristic rich sepia tones and permanence, and this one is no exception. It is in pristine condition. Image measures 6.25 x 4 inches, mounted on original page with borders, photographer IDand title below image.
