Bisque socket head on a fully jointed German composition and wood Sonneberg type body with jointed wrists.

Deep blue sleep eyes with painted upper and lower lashes, stacked multi stroke thick flat brows, closed full mouth

with accents and shading, dimpled chin, pierced ears, French blond human hair wig.

Dressed in a beautiful antique white cotton dress with sweet elaborate feather stitching patterns, lovely double row

of smocking at the high waist antique white cotton with one large tuck and scalloped and embroidered hem, lovely antique white

cotton pantaloons with double tucks, lovely lace hems with blue insertion ribbons, lacy cream net socks and modern cream

leather high button boots and finished off with a wonderful lacy bonnet with elaborate scrollwork design. Just a darling presentation.

CONDITION : Excellent. Good quality bisque head with deep and crisp modeling, expert painting of features, pleasant subtle coloring. Very

minor rubs to the cheeks which are magnified 3x their actual size on the computer screen (see photos). The body in very good original finish condition

and some minor repairs to the neck socket of the torso. The arm assemblies may be later but are a perfect match and in perfect original finish condition.

This wonderful 949 has the dreamiest face with full pouting lips, and the most loving expression. A truly outstanding and desirable doll in a larger size!
